9th Annual Capital Link Cyprus Shipping Forum Successfully Held in Limassol

The Forum was organized under the support of the Shipping Deputy Ministry of Cyprus and the Shipping Deputy Minister to the President, in cooperation with the Cyprus Union of Shipowners, which also served as the Lead Sponsor. The event was further supported by the Cyprus Shipping Chamber and major stakeholders of the Cyprus maritime community.
The Conference highlighted Cyprus’ strategic role as a leading maritime, energy and logistics hub, as well as an attractive investment and business destination.
Distinguished speakers and representatives from the global shipping industry, alongside Cypriot leaders, engaged in insightful discussions on critical industry topics. Key themes included developments and trends in the major shipping, financial and capital markets, geopolitical and regulatory developments, as well as technical and commercial fleet management. The agenda underscored Cyprus’ competitive position and advantages as a maritime center.
The Forum offered unique networking opportunities with a high-level international audience, including shipowners and offshore executives, institutional investors, research analysts, industry experts, commercial and investment bankers, risk advisors, private equity and venture capital firms, high-net-worth investors and financial media. The event was open to the investment and business communities as well as to the media. Participants gained valuable insights into current developments in the maritime and marine services sectors, the implications for their investments, and a clear understanding of the opportunities and challenges ahead.
For the ninth consecutive year, the Forum Chairman was Mr. George A. Tsavliris, Principal of the Tsavliris Salvage Group, Past Chairman of INTERMEPA, Chairman of CYMEPA, Board Member of the Cyprus Union of Shipowners, and Honorary Chairman of the Tsavliris Cultural Foundation.
