INDUSTRY GUIDANCE ON SAFE MANAGEMENT OF VESSEL TRANSIT THROUGH THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ

The industry associations of BIMCO, the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), the
International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA), INTERCARGO, INTERTANKO and the Oil
Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) have recently released the publication:

Industry Guidance on Safe Management of Vessel Transit Through the Strait of Hormuz.

The guidance has been prepared to assist in planning and safely managing all vessel transits
into, within, or out of the Gulf region where transit through the Strait of Hormuz may be required
during periods of heightened regional security risk. It should be read in conjunction with the latest
version of the Best Management Practices for Maritime Security (BMP-MS).
